Prehistoric rock art in eastern Spain

The Solana de la Covachas system is at the head of La Taibilla River. It comprises nine caves that were discovered in 1954 by José Soto Pérez. The sites have adjacent areas that were probably used by groups of several hundred people to meet and hold ceremonies. They contain a series of depictions of hunting and social themes, including dancing, images of female forms, etc.
