Pamplona Diocesan Cathedral Museum
The museum is in buildings adjacent to the Cathedral, and displays items of religious art from Navarre. Highlights of the collection are the Romanesque and Gothic statues of the Virgin Mary (12th-15th centuries); precious metalwork; chests, items in ivory and reliquaries, such as the Holy Sepulchre and the Lignum Crucis, both dating from the Middle Ages. In addition to these objects, visitors will find paintings –namely the Peralta altarpiece by Van Dyck– and Renaissance and Baroque carvings and decorative arts.
