Artziniega
A magnificent collection of traditional tools
Situated next to the Nuestra Señora de la Encina Sanctuary, the Ethnography Museum has an important collection of instruments used in the traditional trades of the region.
Inaugurated in 1984, the utensils on display at the museum relate to traditional jobs and trades that were once common in the Álava region. The permanent exhibition comprises 750 pieces that show the tools and utensils used in trades such as blacksmithery, carpentry, masonry, lacemaking, sewing, espadrille-making and ceramics, amongst others.
