Luna Castle

Badajoz

Luna Castle.

It is known as Luna Castle, referring to Álvaro de Luna, Master of the Order of Santiago and High Constable of Castile, who lived in it for a long time. It has four enclosed areas, but the outstanding thing about the building is the Keep, divided internally into five levels. It is entered through a pointed arch. Inside, you can find the church of Santa María la Mayor del Castillo, a Romanesque church with three naves covered by barrel arches.
