Gothic "Rollo Jurisdiccional" (pillar erected to denote jurisdictional independence of a town or village)

This pillar (known as a "rollo", a symbol of a province's administrative status) has small adjoining columns. It is crowned with a Flemish-style tip dating from the 16th century and decorated with scallop shells, the emblem of the Way of Saint James.
