Cerezales Antonino y Cinia Foundation (FCAYC)

A venue for contemporary art and culture, ethnography and the dissemination of a wide range of knowledge in rural areas, located just 34 kilometres from the city of León.

This institution promotes creative, research and learning projects linked to the cultural and natural heritage of its local area. Since it opened in 2008 in former school buildings in the village of Cerezales del Condado, the FCAYC has organised exhibitions, concerts, workshops, forums for dialogue and, more generally, participatory activities for people of all ages. Its current headquarters is a building opened in 2017, designed by AZPML and conceived with sustainability in mind; it blends into the landscape and is reminiscent of the traditional buildings found in the mountains of León.
