Hundreds of works are on display at the museum, some of which are of priceless artistic value. It boasts a unique collection of Cordoban leatherwork; these baroque altar fronts, made of embossed and polychrome leather. As well as more exceptional works, such as the Arqueta de San Genadio, a unique piece of early Asturian goldsmithing, or a medieval reliquary cross allegedly containing a fragment of the Lignum Crucis, on which, according to tradition, Jesus Christ was crucified.
