San Pedro de la Nave Church

One of the first Christian churches in Spain.Built in the VII century. The capitals of this Visigothic church have lots of overelaborate decoration.The building is almost intact despite its antiquity.In 1930, when the Ricobayo dam was built, it was dismantled stone-by-stone, moved, and at the same time, restored.This was done to avoid it being submerged under the waters of the new reservoir.
