The castle stands on a hill and is in the Gothic style.
Bellver Castle has had various uses throughout history. King James II had it built as a royal residence. In the 19th century it became a mint. Its structure stands out for being circular. It has three turrets and a keep on four floors. The living quarters and facilities are distributed over two floors in the inner patio. On the second floor there is a chapel.
