What are the wines like?
They offer a wide variety of fine wines, to meet the needs of any menu. The red wines are deep, fruity and elegant, with predominance of Tempranillo, Cabernet, Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, and increasing presence of Syrah and Garnacha. The white wines are complex, expressive and persistent. The main varieties are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Albariño, Riesling and Macabeu. In general, they are highly chromatic, full-bodied wines, that improve when stored in bottles for a certain period of time.

How to get here
The route is situated in the province of Lleida, in Catalonia. There is an airport in the province and the AVE high-speed train can be taken from the city of Lleida. It is well connected with large cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza and Seville. Lleida is also conveniently connected with the different towns in the province by road. The main roads to get there are the Nordeste toll motorway (AP-2), the Lleida-Barcelona motorway (A-2) and the Eje Transversal (C-25).
The route covers the districts of Pallars Jussà, Segrià, Urgell, Garrigues, Noguera and Segarra. Here you'll find wineries, urban and rural accommodation, shops-cellars and restaurants. If you wish, you can take part in wine- and oil-tasting courses, and purchase gourmet products. And while you take a walk in these areas you'll discover remains of times gone by, the footprints of many people who have lived in these lands over the centuries.
