Thematic and destination routes

Without a doubt, one of the crown jewels is the Game of Thrones route, which allows visitors to explore the places where the protagonists of the iconic series moved. These include the Real Alcázar of Seville, the setting for the Dorne Water Gardens, or the impressive Bárdenas Reales of Navarra, as well as the spectacular Tabernas desert where the arrival of the Dothraki to the city of Vaes Dothrak was filmed. The experience not only immerses you in the locations where memorable scenes were filmed, but also helps you understand how the historical and natural elements of Spain were integrated into the narrative of the series.

Madrid

Another way to explore the most iconic settings on the small and big screen is to do so through specific cities. For example, “The Landscape of Light on the Screen” is a unique opportunity to discover Madrid through the eyes of the most renowned directors. From the vibrant Gran Vía to the calm Retiro Park, film buffs can relive scenes from films and series shot in the Spanish capital, such as Alejandro Amenábar'sOpen your eyes; Álex de la Iglesia's The day of the beast, or David Trueba's Soldiers of Salamis.

Seville

Another essential itinerary is “The Seville that tells us about history”. What a better way to discover the capital of Andalusia than to explore its cinematic legacy. The city has been chosen on several occasions for major productions thanks to its historical and architectural heritage. Places like the Plaza de España have come to life in films such as Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Furthermore, those nostalgic for the 70s and 80s can also relive the Seville of those years. The film Group 7 (2012) by Alberto Rodríguez is set in such peculiar places as the Los Humeros neighbourhood and the Jewish quarter. The route also includes locations from films such as Marshland and Model 77, revealing how the magic of cinema transforms and highlights the city's secrets.
