Alós d'Isil

Stunning natural surroundings in the Pyrenees

Lleida

Alós d'Isil is in the Àneu Valley, in the heart of the Pyrenees, close to the Aigüestortes National Park and Sant Maurici Lake.

It is located at over one thousand metres above sea level, alongside the Noguera Pallaressa River. Outstanding amongst its monuments are: the ruins of the Sant Lliser Parish Church (11th century); Alós Necropolis, discovered in 1989 and dated 12th-13th centuries; the hydraulic saw house and mill, now a Museum showing the process that wood followed from felling in the forest right through its subsequent transformation. From Alós d'Isil you can plan a host of routes and outings through privileged natural surroundings, with rivers, springs, and stunning mountains.
