The exhibition brings together the work of two key names in 20th-century painting, Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock, two apparently different artists fascinated by large-format art, space and transformation.
Neither was Jackson Pollock always an abstract master, nor Andy Warhol the artist who only reflected banal and mass themes. The exhibition aims to reveal to the viewer the background and autobiography that underlies the abstract and figurative art of the works of both artists, as well as those of other artists of the same period who expressed the same concerns.
