A fun way to discover the science and technology behind the films of the famous animation studio.
The tour begins with a video explaining the creative process, from the birth of the idea to the final result on screen. It is structured around eight key, interrelated areas: modelling, rigging (a technique for creating the structure to deform and animate characters), surfaces, sets and cameras, animation, simulation, lighting and rendering (the process of converting 3D models into images). Each of these rooms includes digital and physical displays, videos and interviews with the studio's own employees explaining the real-world challenges they face and the variety of backgrounds needed (art, mathematics or computer science) to bring characters like Buzz Lightyear, Dory or Mike to life.
