This installation, created specifically for the Reina Sofía Museum by filmmaker Oliver Laxe, stems from the research and recordings made for the film Sirāt, winner of the Jury Prize at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and nominated for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film. The exhibition offers a physical and sonic experience across two rooms. In the first, shrouded in darkness, a structure of speakers arranged like a totem emits electronic music and typical rave vibes. Functioning similarly to the preparatory chambers of ancient temples, it creates a kind of sonic ablution for the visitor. In the second, main room, three projections show desert landscapes and sacred architecture filmed by the artist in Iran, where human figures dance under an intense sun.
