This Galician river beach is situated in the municipality of A Veiga, on the banks of the River Xares, right where it flows into the Prada reservoir. Beneath its waters lie the remains of the old village of Alberguería, which disappeared in 1958 following the completion of the dam. It is the only Blue Flag beach in Ourense, in recognition of the quality of its water, the facilities on offer and the unique natural setting, characterised by a lush pine forest. It is an ideal place to enjoy outdoor activities, as it has areas for physical exercise, including water sports. There is also a small play area for the little ones to enjoy.
