How to get to the airport
Cab
Taxi ranks are opposite the terminal. Taxis from Salamanca airport do not have any surcharge or special fare, but the normal intercity fare applies:
Fare 3 (Monday to Friday, 7.00 am – 11.00 pm, Saturdays 7.00 am - 4.00 pm) flag-down charge €1.95; per every kilometre €0.68.
Fare 4 (from Monday to Friday, from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am; Saturdays, from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm; Sundays and public holidays, all day): flag-down charge €2.70 ; per every kilometre €0.78.
There is a supplement of €0.70 for every suitcase.
Highway
Salamanca airport, known as Matacán airport, is located about 20 kilometres from the city. Access from Salamanca is at kilometre 79.8 of the national highway N-501, which reaches the city centre, or from the parallel motorway A-50 (Ávila-Salamanca), exit 86.
Bus
Bus service is only enabled when the airport has continuous flight traffic and is adjusted to these times. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
