Iberic Village "El Cerro de la Cruz"

“El Cerro de la Cruz” (S. II BC), declared of Cultural Interest.Among all villages that existed in the Iberian peninsula was the Bastetano who occupied these lands, developing his life in a fortified settlement called "oppida" located on "El Cerro de la Cruz" hill. An elevated site from which controlled a large territory from where you can see part of the southern counties of Jaén and Córdoba and the west of Granada.In this place are concentrated the artisans houses, places of worship, public spaces and markets where existed currencies trade.The houses have a stone base and an elevation of adobe or mud brick, retained in some cases the imprint of the window, door, or the holes in the posts that supported the second floor of these buildings, as well as the work area which preserves mills, wells, cellars, etc.
