Hides Dehesa El Águila

We offer you the possibility of observing different habitats of an Extremaduran meadow. We have two hides:Hide raptors: Old midden used by black vulture, griffon vulture, egyptian vulture, corvids, kites... Being located between Sierra Hornachos (5 km) and Sierra de Alange (8 km) it is a hunting ground for large eagles (golden eagle, imperial...) that , with a little luck, you will be able to see.Hide “El cañito”: Pool built with stones inside a meadow. The list of birds photographed exceeds 50 species: spanish sparrow, northern wren, bullfich, iberian azure-winged magpie, spectacled warbler, dartford warbler, nightingale, woodchat shrike, southern grey shrike… Our hides are located in a private estate (meadow) located in the Matachel Valley. For centuries, livestock and agriculture have been combined in the shade of the oaks, giving rise to the pasture as a source of biodiversity. Cataloged as ZEPA (special protection area for birds).
