Join us for the Festa do Marisco in Galicia this October!

Join us to live one of the best gastronomic festivals in Spain, the Festa do Marisco that takes place every October in O Grove, Galicia. A celebration that will surely stimulate all of your senses, through the delicious flavours and scents. Although the event takes place in O Grove, we want you to know the region, that is why we have prepared special activities in several places, so you can enjoy new and exiting experiences. We will take you to food markets selling local products, you will learn about the work of the seafood trawl and how their catch is auctioned in the fish market. We’ll taste together the best wines with Denomination of Origin (DO) of the area and sail on a catamaran to see where the best mussels of Galicia are grown. We’re sure you won’t want to miss this experience we have prepared for you! Day 1. We’ll go up to Cambados to participate in the drag of the seafood, accompanied by the local shellfishers. We’ll then continue with a visit to an authentic Pazo Señorial, where the wines from the region are grown. In the afternoon, we’ll take a first tour of the Festival. Day 2. Our catamaran will take you through the waters of the Ría de Arousa to see where the mussel are grown, we’ll taste them on board, accompanied by a good albariño. Then, we’ll visit the fish market and the historic center of Portonovo. Day 3. We’ll spend the day in Vigo to visit the Mercado del Calvario, where we’ll taste local products. Also, the Mercado A Pedra, to taste fresh oysters. In the afternoon, we’ll go to the Festival. Day 4. In the morning, we’ll go to the Salazón Museum. In the Festival, we’ll attend one of its gastronomic workshops. In the afternoon, we’ll visit an old labriega house, where the tasks of yesteryear, such as baking bread in a wood oven, are still developed. Day 5. Free time to recharge batteries before returning home. This amazing festivity takes place from 4th to 14th October. Chose your trip dates!
