Sant Cugat, from the countryside to the city
Sant Cugat del Vallès is one of the Viles Florides of the Vallès Occidental region. Its numerous and well-kept green spaces are one of its hallmarks. History, culture and tradition converge in this diverse city, where local agriculture also plays an important role. Did you know that the famous Mandó de Collserola tomato is produced in Sant Cugat? We invite you to feel nature in a magical day, getting closer to life in the countryside; you will visit a vegetable garden and they will teach you the importance of chemical-free agriculture. Paul will welcome you in his family farmhouse and will tell you stories about his beginnings and how his crops and production methods have evolved. Walking around the farm, you will live the experience of picking with your hands the Mandó tomatoes at their optimum ripeness. Then, you will taste together the local and fresh products of the orchard. At the end, you will pick your tomatoes and head to Àlex's restaurant, located in an old warehouse, which retains its vaults up to 12 meters high. After recharging your batteries, we recommend a stroll through the city center, observing the emblematic modernist houses, discovering its stores and feeling like a local by making a sweet stop at Guillem's bakery, where you will find artisan and organic products.Services included: guided visit to the vegetable garden with local products, Mandó tomato picking and vermouth.
