Alcanar and its iberian treasure

Alcanar has a jewel from the Iberian period, the Moleta del Remei, one of the most important archaeological sites in Catalonia. It is located on a hill with the best views of Alcanar, the Ebro Delta and even Peñíscola.During a guided tour, Paco will give you a first-hand experience of the Iberian culture, explaining the best anecdotes and curiosities of this archaeological site. On the way to the village you can visit the spectacular field of ancient olive trees and the beautiful hermitage of Remei. To round off the day, you can visit the O'Connor's House Interpretation Centre and see the archaeological materials from the settlement on display. After soaking up the Iberian culture of Alcanar, you will have lunch in a restaurant of the Casas de Alcanar, to taste the local gastronomy.
