Wines from Penedès are produced using traditional grape varieties, but also those introduced in recent years. The majority of them are young wines with great aromatic qualities. The white wines are very fruity and fresh. The red wines are full-bodied and aromatic and have an intense colour. Cava, which is a naturally sparkling wine, deserves a special mention. Its flavour is unmistakable. Cava is a wine for making toasts and for celebrations, for intimacy and magical moments. Sant Sadurní d’Anoia is the world cava capital.
