Portuguese Coastal Camino Walking & Food Tour in Galicia

On this tour, you will walk the last 150km of the Portuguese Coastal Way from Oia to Santiago de Compostela. You will discover beautiful coastal & countryside scenery and you will as well get to try the famed Galician gastronomy with an English-Speaking Camino & Food professional guide. Explore the Rias Baixas area, famous for its white-sand beaches, the seafood and the Albariño wines. We will take care of your luggage for you as we will transport your bags from one hotel to the next one. You will also have your own driver in case you need transportation to the hotel at any point. We will find some highlights right from the start of the tour like Oia Monastery, where Sir Thomas Becket stayed in the XII century. At the end of the first stage, we`ll make it to Baiona, where the mayor of the town will be waiting for us to welcome the group. That same evening, your guide will take you on a tapas tour of the best tapas bars and taverns of Baiona. The next day we`ll walk a bit longer, but walking along white-sand beaches makes it much easier. We will then arrive in Vigo, where we will visit the Sea Museum. Following our path through dense forests and some little waterfalls we`ll make it into Redondela, where our route joins the main Portuguese Camino. Soon we will arrive in Pontevedra, a city with one of the prettiest old towns of Galicia. Here, a local fisherman and owner of a restaurant will take you to the market to help you select your lunch that he will later prepare for you at the restaurant. Then we`ll continue the route with a walk through some vineyards until we make it into Caldas de Reis, a city known for the quality of its natural thermal waters. Soon after walking past Padron, you will enjoy a guided visit of Pazo de Faramello with Gonzalo, the owner of this fantastic manor house. We will soon be arriving in the UNESCO old town of Santiago de Compostela, the end of this Camino. Here you will visit the cathedral and the remains of Saint James
