Mysteries of starry night astronomy-themed house in La Palma

Take the chance to learn, and enjoy the night sky on the island of La Palma during your stay in one of the astronomy-themed country cottages which are members of the Product Club StarsIslandLaPalma. These cottages are in ideal locations far from light pollution and with panoramic views of the heavens, and each one is decorated with astronomical motifs.You will be taken on a journey around the night sky by one of La Palma's Starlight Guides, a tour guide specialising in astronomy and accredited by the Starlight Foundation. The Starlight Guide will come to the cottage you're staying in with professional equipment (portable telescope, laser pointer, camera and binoculars) and give you the best possible start in astronomy. He or she will teach you to identify constellations, and how to recognise the visible planets or a satellite. You'll see other galaxies, nebulae, and double stars through the telescope. The night sky changes with the seasons, and your guide will show you the constellations visible at that particular time and place, and relate the myths connected to them since ancient times, or in some cases, the local legends. Finally, animated by a toast with Star Quality Malvasía wine from Bodegas Teneguía, we suggest you capture your memories of the moment with your own astronomical photo, so that you can to take "a piece of heaven home".This experience includes:4 nights of accommodation in one of these cottages: El Níspero (in Fuencaliente), Los Llanos Negros (in Fuencaliente), El Pósito (in Villa de Mazo), Celeste (in Villa de Mazo), Sabina(in Villa de Mazo), Carlota (in Breña Baja), Villa Asunción (in Breña Baja) or Neólida (in Puntallana).Astronomical experience. Duration of observation activity: 3 hours. Minimum 2 people. If weather conditions prove unsuitable on the chosen night, you can change the date or move the observation to an Astronomical Viewpoint in the mountains.
