Hiking Calderón Hondo Volcano

The best preserved volcanic crater on Fuerteventura!Fuerteventura is 23 million years old, so the eruption of Calderón Hondo, which occurred some 135,000 years ago, happened relatively recently in the island's geological past.We will start our tour along an easily accessible cobbled path. At a height of 278 metres, at the top of the climb, there is a viewpoint next to the edge of the volcano with majestic views of the crater, as well as Majanicho, the Corralejo Dunes and Lanzarote. This entire volcanic area is of great geological, scenic and cultural interest, as in the surrounding area you can find archaeological remains from pre-Hispanic times, such as circular dry stone constructions that were used as dwellings and livestock pens.Itinerary:● 09:30: pick-up in areas of Caleta de Fuste and Corralejo.● 10:30: 6 km walk.● 12:00: end of the tour and return
