Terra Mítica and Benidorm

Benidorm is a major holiday resort on the Costa Blanca, about 130 kilometres south of Valencia. The town is famous for its mild climate, its beaches and nightlife, the contrast between its traditional architecture and skyscraper hotels, and its theme parks.

On a walk in the old town centre, you will discover winding streets and charming spots like the Balcón del Mediterráneo, a pretty viewing point overlooking the sea. Further on, there are broad avenues, towering buildings (it has the third highest density of skyscrapers in Europe, after London and Milan) and shopping streets.

landmarks THAT CANNOT BE MISSED

Don't miss

Terra Mítica: the most famous amusement park in Benidorm is undoubtedly Terra Mítica, one of the largest in Spain, based on the history of the great Mediterranean civilisations, where you can ride Europe’s longest wooden roller coaster. As well as rides, Terra Mítica has shows, restaurants, shops, and the Grand Luxor Hotel.

Family fun: As well as Terra Mítica, children will love water parks like Aqualandia and Aqua Natura Benidorm, or places where they can see animals, such as Terra Natura. More information.

Beaches: there are several beaches and coves, but the two main ones are called Levante and Poniente. Their large seafront promenades have a vast range of leisure options and are always lively. And in the evening, you’ll find over 150 bars and discos.

Shopping

There are over 2000 shops in Benidorm, and in summer they stay open late. As well as shops of every kind, you’ll find outlet stores specialising in major brands and international designers.
