Costa Barcelona

costa-barcelona

Located in Catalonia, it has over 100 kilometres of coastline sprinkled with stylish towns and charming fishing villages. Natural parks, golf courses, breathtaking historical buildings, nightlife, traditional festivals and great cuisine are some of the attractions of this part of the Mediterranean.

Its beaches, with golden sand and crystalline waters, have plenty of services and are very varied, ranging from long sweeps of sand, as in Calella, Santa Susanna and Castelldefels, to small coves like La Vinyeta and Garraf.

Activities to suit all tastes

Costa Barcelona has many marinas and businesses offering activities and services such as sailing, kayaking, surfing and rowing, charter boats and water bikes. Being situated between the Mediterranean and the mountains, it has a climate of warm summers and mild winters, and a surprising variety of landscapes, such as Montserrat Natural Park, the Llobregat Delta, and Garraf Natural Park. Art lovers will find outstanding Art Nouveau architecture, such as the Colònia Guell in Santa Coloma de Cervello, designed by Gaudí. Those seeking quality flavours can enjoy a cuisine with local specialities such as mongeta del ganxet (beans) from the Maresme area, and wine tourism routes like the wine and cava route in the Penedès region.

With family or with friends

Costa Barcelona is perfect for family trips thanks to its wide range of facilities for all ages, such as beaches with babysitters in towns like Santa Susanna, Calella, Pineda de Mar and Malgrat, and the Catalonia in Miniature theme park. Its festive spirit is on show in the evenings in pavement cafés and restaurants, clubs and discos, and by day in celebrations and traditions like the ‘castells’ (human towers) of Vilafranca del Penedés.
