Visit and tasting at Bodegas Malacuera

Visit to the old underground cellar with traditional wine tasting + visit to new winery + Malacuera wine tasting with aperitif.1. Old Underground Cellar:We have two wineries that date back to the 17th century and which we currently keep in use for typical lunches and even making homemade wine for family consumption. They are close to the urban center of Castrillo de Duero (a mere 10 minutes from Peñafiel), in the area where all the old cellars of Castrillo are located and are easily accessible. In these wineries the visitor gets to know the ancient wine culture, explains the way of making of yesteryear and you can see how, manually, these wineries were built. In addition, we will taste the homemade and natural wine directly from the barrel.2. New Winery:Only three minutes from the old wineries are the new facilities of Bodegas Malacuera. We will see the current way of elaborating the wines of Ribera del Duero, covering the different processing areas: reception, fermentation, aging, deposits, bottling line and bottles ...When we have finished the whole process, we go to the tasting room where, accompanied by an aperitif with typical products of the area (cheese, chorizo, jamon ...), we will taste three of the wines that Malacuera produces.3. Tasting of three Malacuera wines:They are very amusing tastings; Before explaining what can be found in each wine (smells, colors, flavors), let each one say what that wine transmits. It is about making very interactive tastings.
