Guided bike tour with Valencian flavors

A healthy and sustainable way to travel from the Mediterranean Sea to the heart of the Valencian farmland.We will begin in the former fishermen’s quarter of Cabanyal–Canyamelar, heading into the Marina Real Juan Carlos I, a vibrant social hub that blends historic architecture —such as the Clock Building— with cutting‑edge icons like Veles e Vents, the former headquarters of the America’s Cup and now a multifunctional center and home to La Sucursal, a Michelin‑starred restaurant.We’ll continue enjoying a pleasant ride along the coast as we pass the urban beaches of Las Arenas, Malvarrosa and Patacona. This coastal landscape, bathed in Valencia’s bright light, with the sea breeze and the Sierra Calderona on the horizon, inspired figures such as Joaquín Sorolla, the “painter of light,” and the renowned writer Vicente Blasco Ibáñez. Before entering the northern farmland, we’ll stop at the colorful Port Saplaya, a hidden gem known as Valencia’s Little Venice.Halfway through the route, it will be time to try the traditional Valencian mid‑morning meal, the esmorzaret, a culinary tradition deeply linked to the farmland and its farmers. We’ll talk about the essential role this landscape has played in Valencian culture and in its gastronomic and environmental richness.We’ll continue cycling through vegetable fields, historic irrigation canals, old alquerías and traditional barracas made of mud and straw until we reach Alboraya, the epicenter of tiger nut cultivation. There, we’ll visit a historic family‑run horchata café to enjoy a refreshing Valencian horchata served with homemade fartons.On the way back, we’ll admire the beautiful polychrome tiled façades, a distinctive feature of the popular Valencian modernism found in the city’s seaside neighborhoods.The guided bike tour with Valencian flavors includes: - Local official guide Adrián Gago, bicycle rental, full traditional brunch, and horchata with fartons.
