Organic agriculture in Ibiza

Ibiza

How to enjoy the island’s organic food and wine

Buying vegetables directly from the farmer, seeing how things are done on an organic smallholding, or staying at a country house where they grow their own food. These are a few of the experiences Ibiza has to offer for fans of natural foods and organic farming.

Fruit and vegetables, eggs, olive oil…

These are some of the foods grown on Ibiza’s sustainable and environmentally friendly farms. There are many farmers and establishments on the island offering local ecological products. Many of these organic farms have their own shops or sell directly to the customer. Some of them also organise guided tours and tastings, in others, you can even stay there and enjoy a breakfast or dinner made with 100% organic ingredients from their own fields.

For example, the Forada, Sant Joan, and Sant Rafel markets, where you can also enjoy the festive atmosphere. You can also buy the island’s organic foods and other products in specialist shops and supermarkets. The website of the Balearic Organic Agriculture Council (CBPAE) lists the organic farms, companies and establishments it has certified on Ibiza and Formentera.
