Gomera, an island made for activity
One of the best ways of discovering all the natural biodiversity of the Canary Islands is to explore its protected areas. The archipelago is home to four of Spain’s National Parks.
Garajonay National Park
Экотуризм. Аккредитация Европейской хартии устойчивого туризма (CETS), предоставляемая некоторым охраняемым природным территориям.
Imaging hiking across a volcanic island while you gaze out over the sea from its rock faces, or exploring the incredible Garajonay National Park. All this is on offer in La Gomera, an island which makes it easy to indulge your sporting spirit. You can walk through a leafy laurisilva forest full of fairy-tale prehistoric trees, and through valleys covered with palm trees which reach down to the coast. If you are the adventurous type, you can also try your hand at climbing.
When you reach the beach, you can continue your activities with a boat trip where you will have the chance to spot whales and dolphins. And once out on the water, you can indulge in some scuba diving (and snorkelling too), and even be adventurous and try a night dive. You will discover an underwater volcanic landscape, with crystal-clear water and vast schools of fish.
