Wine-producing area of Andalusia

It covers the whole of the Andalusian region, in the south of Spain. Tours include the Montilla-Moriles route (Cordoba), the Marco de Jerez Wine and Brandy route (Cadiz), and the Serranía de Ronda route (Malaga).

Local wines and designations of origin

What are the wines like? The Mediterranean temperatures and various microclimates, the scarcity of frosts and plentiful annual sunshine hours produce very different wines which are all of high quality.Sherry is particularly worthy of mention, with the oldest regulatory body in Spain. The local grape varieties are Palomino, Pedro Ximénez, Moscatel and Zalema, which create naturally sweet dessert wines.Designations of origin: From Cadiz: Jerez-Xérès-Sherry / Manzanilla-Sanlúcar.
