  • Relax with a stroll or a swim at La Concha beach

    It is always delightful to explore La Concha bay, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in the world. Don’t forget to take a picture with the iconic white railings, and if you can, have a swim. We recommend you enjoy the sunset while looking at the sea from this beach.

  • Enjoy the best panoramic view of the city from a funicular which is over 100 years old

    This view can be seen from the summit of Monte Igueldo, and we recommend you use the wooden carriage funicular to climb up. One you reach the top, the views are truly unique. In addition, there is an amusement park with traditional rides.

  • Eat pintxos in the old town

    You will find traditional bars where you can enjoy pintxos along the cobbled streets around the Plaza de la Constitución and monuments such as the Basilica of Santa María del Coro and the Church of San Vicente. Taste these small culinary bites that are full of flavour and are usually accompanied by Txakoli wine. The pintxos include haute cuisine creations, as well as delicious pickles, cheeses and cured meats and sausages.

  • Take a break by the Wind Comb

    Wind Comb, San Sebastián

    One of the city’s symbols. A collection of outdoor sculptures which appear to converse with the wind and waves. It is an almost magical place and the creation of artist Eduardo Chillido. You can find it at the end of Ondarreta beach and at the foot of Monte Igueldo.

  • Discover the Kursaal by day...and by night

    Kursaal, San Sebastián

    The picture may seem familiar because the Kursaal Congress Centre and Auditorium is where the famous San Sebastián International Film Festival is held. The centre is a work of architect Rafael Moneo and the way it is lit up at night will amaze you. Nearby you will find two legendary buildings which can make anyone feel like a movie star, the glamorous Victoria Eugenia Theatre, it is well worth going to one of its shows, and Hotel María Cristina, inspired by the Belle Époque.

  • Pretend to be an aristocrat at the Miramar Palace

    Miramar Palace, San Sebastián

    This is the royal family's old summer residence. Although the palace only opens on occasion, you can walk through its wonderful gardens and enjoy views of the bays and the island of Santa Clara just in front.

  • Learn about the city's past

    You can do this by climbing Monte Urgull. There you can find remains of the city wall and canyons, as well as the History Museum. Additionally, from Monte Urgull you can enjoy views of the three beaches in San Sebastián.

  • Sail in the bay

    You can go on a catamaran trip, take the boat to the island of Santa Clara or sign up for a whale watching expedition... Once back on dry land, the colours at sunset are incredible from the port. In addition, the city's Aquarium is located in the bay.
