The English Way was the preferred route for pilgrims from the Scandinavian countries, Flanders, the Netherlands, the Baltic world, the North of France and, above all, the English and Irish pilgrims to reach Galicia.

The pilgrims arrived at the Galician coasts in ships of little draft (ships of transport of merchandize, cocas, etc.) that could arrive with facility to any corner.

There are documentary news of landings of this type already in the eleventh century, such as that carried out by a Danish expedition that started in Denmark from the English coasts to La Coruña.

Day 2 - Ferrol - Neda - 15 km
Day 3 - Neda - Pontedeume - 16 km
Day 4 - Pontedeume - Betanzos - 21 km
Day 5 - Betanzos - Hospital de Bruma - 28.3 km
Day 6 - Hospital de Bruma - Sigüeiro - 24.8 km
Day 7 - Sigüeiro - Santiago de Compostela - 16.5 km
