Ski touring in Spain: high route of Maladetas (Pyrenees)

The opening of the mountain hut Cap de Llauset, in a strategic place of these mountains, gives us a multitude of options to make a circular tour around the Maladetas and to visit other mountains with many options for skiing.

During three days and two nights at the Cap de Llauset mountain hut we will make a high route around the Maladetas and also ascend to summits such as the Vallibierna Peak (3.058 m).
The Massif of Maladetas with the Aneto Peak (3.404 m) is an exceptional terrain for ski touring. In addition, its height and orientation allows to extend the season until May and even June, having to postpone summer plans for later.

DAY 1
Meeting in Benasque.
Explanation of the itinerary, preparation of the equipment.

DAY 2
LLANOS DEL HOSPITAL (1.754 m) - VALLEY OF BARRANCS - COL OF SALENQUES (2.809 m) - ESTANY DEL CAP DE LA VAL (2.667 m) - CAP DE LLAUSET MOUNTAIN HUT (2.425 m).
Elevation gain +1.500 m - 800 m. Time: 8-9h hours

DAY 3
CAP DE LLAUSET MOUNTAIN HUT (2.425 m) - VALLIBIERNA PEAK (3.056 m) - CAP DE LLAUSET MOUNTAIN HUT (2.425 m).
Elevation gain +700 m - 700 m. Time: 4 hours

DAY 4
CAP DE LLAUSET MOUNTAIN HUT (2.425 m) - COL (2700 m) - MOUNTAIN LAKES OF VALLIBIERNA - CORONAS MOUNTAIN HUT (1.950).
Elevation gain +300 m - 800 m. Time: 4-5h hours. Descent in vehicle to valley bottom or with skis as far as the snow allows (depending on the weather and snow conditions).
Tempestades option (3.278 m). Elevation gain + 1000 m - 1000 m
