What are the wines like?: the 500,000 hectares of vineyards in Castile-La Mancha make it the most extensive wine-producing region in the world. The white grape variety Airén predominates, and is perfectly suited to the dry Manchegan climate. The result? Fruity wines with moderate acidity. However, the La-Mancha region harvests better fruits for red wines, thanks to its variety of Cencibel grapes. In Valdepeñas a light and smooth wine is produced, although Airén grapes predominate there too. In Extremadura, on the other hand, other delicious wines are produced, with Ribera del Guadiana designation of origin. Designations of origin: From Castile-La Mancha: Almansa / La Mancha / Manchuela / Méntrida / Mondéjar / Uclés / Valdepeñas / Ribera del Júcar. From Madrid: Wines from Madrid. From Extremadura: Ribera del Guadiana.
