The Picasso Museum Malaga presents an exhibition on Olga Khokhlova, a dancer with the Ballets Russes and the first wife of Pablo Picasso, presenting letters, photographs and documents found in a trunk which once belonged to her.
It explores the story of Olga Picasso as an individual, as well as her years with the Spanish artist. Their travels and their lives together are revealed through photographs, letters, documents, films and paintings. A total of around 350 objects provide the context for Picasso’s work during his relationship with Olga. Curiously, the travel trunk which contained these items was the only personal belonging she kept after their separation.
