Description

The ABANCA Art Collection covers all European Surrealism from 1923 to 1976 including works from after the Second World War.

The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum presents a selection of thirteen Surrealist works from the ABANCA Art Collection. This exhibition covers the period from 1923 to 1976 and includes works by Dalí, Max Ernst, Miró, Maruja Mallo and Matta, among other Surrealist artists. This free exhibition travels from the metaphysical landscapes of Giorgio de Chirico to a selection of post-Second World War works by Matta, Wifredo Lam and Eugenio Granell.
