This is the international meeting on culinary tourism organised by the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), and on odd-numbered years it is held in Donostia – San Sebastián in the Basque Country.

Did you know that the relationship between food and culture is now one of the main reasons for travelling? What’s more, interest in local food culture encourages the preservation of customs and habits that make tourist destinations more sustainable. Culinary experts and agents in the sector from all over the world will be discussing this subject, as well as the latest trends in the sector or the development of sustainable products. They’ll be doing so in Donostia – San Sebastián, a city with a great many haute cuisine restaurants and the home of the Basque Culinary Centre, the prestigious culinary training centre and co-organiser of the world forum along with the UNWTO.
