Wolves and shepherds: the Iberian wolf route in Zamora.
Everyone knows that the wolf has always had a bad reputation in folk tales and legends. But how much truth is there in them? If you want to discover the life of the Iberian wolf, you can not miss this experience.
We will observe the wolf in its natural habitat, surrounded by the wooded landscape of Zamora and all the species that can be found in it, equally worthy of photography. In this getaway there will be two activities of sighting of the wolf in an observation point located in the Sierra de la Culebra (Zamora), one at dusk and another at the next dawn.
Before the first sighting, we will make a brief interpretative route, where we will learn how to trace the tracks and trace of the wolf. There will also be a workshop before the second one, where they will explain the peculiarities of the incredible deer antlers.
We will delve into the local culture and learn how grazing faces the presence of this predator. From the hand of a shepherd from the area that keeps the tradition of transhumance alive, we can know how they relate to the wolf and how they defend their herds of it. An expert guide in the area will accompany us to this meeting on a brief interpretation of the surroundings.
A complete experience in which to learn everything about the wolf and its spectacular surroundings. We assure you that your opinion about this animal will change radically after the adventure.
This getaway lasts two days, since the second sighting is at dawn. We complete the perfect weekend with a night of accommodation, breakfast included.
