Discover with a profesional guide (Roman historian) the great Italica, first purely Roman city on the Iberian Peninsula, and the largest residential complex of Roman Andalusia.
It was founded in 206 BC, after the battle of Ilipa (Alcalá del Río), by Scipio, who later would be called the African for his victory at the Carthage Hannibal. Centuries later, from her womb emerged the first two Roman emperors born in Italy: Adrian and Trajano.

We emphasize that only a small part of the whole old city is excavated, leaving much of the ancient city buried under the current town of Santiponce. Still, the magnificent amphitheater of Italica (third largest in the world) and well-preserved sample gives splendor City scored imperial era. Famous are also the mosaics that housed the noble residences, making clear the high economic level of the moment.
During the visit you will discover with the guide not only archaeological site but the history, customs of the Romans and even the great legends of Italica.
