Las Dalias Market when night falls

A tour of Ibiza’s hippy markets

Ibiza’s markets are a must-visit. There you will discover typical Ibizan fashion, find original items, buy local crafts, taste organic products, etc. They are also renowned for their great atmosphere, with music, DJ sets and places to have a bite to eat. The majority of these markets open between May and October, and these are some of the most popular.

LAS DALIAS A classic on the island, it has been running for over 30 years. There are over 200 stands where you can find fabrics, handmade clothing and the famous AdLib Ibiza fashion, jewellery, crafts, decorations and hammocks, etc. In the evening and at night the atmosphere heats up with live music, concerts and DJ sets. The night-time version takes place in summer, on Mondays and Tuesdays from June to September, and on Sundays in August. There are also special markets during Easter Week and Christmas.PUNTA ARABÍThe biggest hippy market in Ibiza, it has existed since 1973. On Wednesdays, over 500 stalls are set up. Among them you can find original items from all over the world, as well as crafts, fashion, natural cosmetics, musical instruments and jewellery. There is a children's play area, a bar area and a multicultural marquee with live music and performances from 2pm to 4pm.

SANT JORDIThis is perhaps the most popular second-hand market on the island and it takes place on Saturday mornings, in the old hippodrome in Sant Jordi. You can buy all kinds of items there, including CDs, books, furniture, clothing, luggage, etc. You can also have an appetiser at the bar and enjoy the midday percussion sessions led by musicians in the grandstand.CRAFT AND ORGANIC MARKETSTo buy local crafts, San Rafael and Sant Joan de Labritja are two highly recommended markets. They also sell agricultural products from the area and organic food. Forada Market is another place where you can purchase local and natural products.
