Picasso Museum Malaga

When it opened in 2003, Picasso’s wish for his work to be represented in his native town finally became a reality. The collection was donated by his daughter-in-law and grandson, Christine and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, and shows the different periods of his work in drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures, and ceramics. In total, more than 200 works by the genius creator of Cubism are on display. The museum is housed in the Renaissance Buenavista Palace, which also has an archaeological site in its basement where you can visit Phoenician and Roman remains.
