Spirit-based drink based on herbs normally drunk by the inhabitants of the island of Majorca after dinner or on very cold mornings.
The origin of this drink is rather unclear. It is probable that it goes back to the Middle Ages, after the introduction by the Arabs of the still, which is used for making this liqueur. It is a aniseedy spirit-based drink, green in colour with slight amber tones, with a gentle, long-lasting aroma and aniseed flavour with hints of mint and marjoram.
