This exhibition is the first to explore the initial steps in Sorolla's life and the path that led him to become the famous “master of light”, whose work remains as captivating as ever.   Joaquín Sorolla became the most nationally and internationally successful painter in Spain at the turn of the 20th century. The exhibition delves into the beginnings in his native Valencia and his formative years, revealing the figure of a young Sorolla who combines drawing classes with work in his uncle's locksmith shop; an artist who will success through sheer hard work. “Sorolla.
