For the first time in Spain, the Thyssen presents an exhibition devoted to Rembrandt’s role as a portrait painter.
Together with a score of his portraits, the exhibition includes prominent examples of other artists active at the same time as him during the “Dutch Golden Age” (17th century), amounting to a total of 80 paintings and 16 engravings, some never before seen in Europe.
