Discover the symbology and ideology of the "Lords of the Two Lands", the pharaohs: rulers and protectors of Egypt.
The sample is taken from a collection of objects from the British Museum in London. There are some 130 pieces in total, featuring gold items, busts and reliefs of temples, all of which help us to understand what life used to be like on the banks of the Nile. The exhibition pays special attention to the rulers of Egypt, the pharaohs, who possessed divine powers and represented courageous leaders of military strategy. In this sense, their clothing and accessories were powerfully symbolic, as were their customs and the rituals performed as part of palace life.
