Gaiás-Cidade da Cultura presents this artistic intervention by Miguel Moreno Mateos, whose work is always closely linked to the environment. It is an allegory of the process of vital growth, a metaphorical journey on what defines us as people, that unites us and differentiates us from others and links us or separates us from the ecosystem.
The original Hejduk Towers are hosting the exhibition comprising 17 glass and latex works in curious shapes that have water as the central theme. This element is adapted to the environment as if it formed the veins and conduits of a complex and interconnected system until it reaches the seeds that will give life to future plants. It all works from a metaphor for the capacity of adaptation of human beings and the complex system of which they are a part of.This installation can also be interpreted as a simile of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route: a journey where the visitor gains insightful experiences from the different stages.
