Moscoso Cosmos. The visual universe of Victor Moscoso

Exhibition - Design
León

A retrospective of the work of one of the most original and influential graphic designers of the 20th century.

Victor Moscoso, born in Galicia in 1936, was a key figure in the countercultural movement of the 1960s in the United States along with other designers, such as Wes Wilson, Rick Griffin, Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. His work stands out mainly for his designs of psychedelic rock posters and advertising, and the production of underground comics.

The exhibition brings together a selection of his rock posters, album covers, comics, illustrations for books and magazines, animations and biographical photographs. Most of the pieces belong to the Concello da Coruña collection, the largest public collection in Europe. Likewise, some of Moscoso's works are part of the permanent collections of galleries, such as the Louvre in Paris, the MOMA in New York or the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
